Hiroshima Dreamination 2009

This winter again, the light of 1.3 million bulbs will pour onto the city of Hiroshima...
A fairy tale world will be created by depicting the entire town as a never-never land, including the forest along Peace Boulevard (Heiwa Odori), Alice Garden, shopping streets at the center of the city and commercial establishments.
The total length of the green belts along the north and south sides of Peace Boulevard (Heiwa Odori), the main venue spreading from east to west, is approximately 2 kilometers. Visitors will be able to enjoy the large monuments, such as "Peace Castle," a gigantic Christmas tree approximately 30 m high (natural tree), Sailboat, Phoenix and Pipe Organ.
The event is scheduled to start on November 6 (Fri), which is earlier than previous years, and to continue for 59 days until January 3 (Sun), 2010. The long period will allow visitors to enjoy this event during Christmas and New Year.
At the venue, "Dreami Cafe" will be open to serve drinks mainly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the event. In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy great eating at the many restaurants and cafes in the area around Peace Boulevard (Heiwa Odori), during Hiroshima Dreamination. Since the venue is also close to hotels in the center of the city, visitors can stay overnight to enjoy the event at their leisure.
Furthermore, from November 7 (Sat) to January 17, the Atomic Bomb Dome, a World Heritage Site; Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima; and the Kintaikyo Bridge in Iwakuni, one of the three most famous bridges in Japan, will be lit up.
Please come see our Hiroshima Dreamination 2009 again this winter.
