Access *From Hiroshima Bus Center, take a bus bound for Yakushigaoka Danchi via Shokubutsu Koen (Botanical Garden). It takes about 40 minutes.
*Take JR Sanyo Main Line and get off "Itsukaichi Station," or take a streetcar bound for Hiroden-miyajima-guchi and get off at "Hiroden-Itsukaichi" Take a bus bound for Yakushigaoka Danchi via Shokubutsu Koen (Botanical Garden). Transfer to the bus takes about 20 minutes.
Open 9:00~16:30 (entry permitted until 16:00)
Closed Fridays (When Friday falls on a national holiday or August 6, the preceding day will be closed.)

The Hiroshima Botanical Garden has six greenhouses where visitors can enjoy tropical plants, including rare species of orchids and vividly colored bulbed begonias, which are said to be the most beautiful flowers in the world. This botanical garden also has large flower beds, water falls of various sizes, a cherry tree orchard, rose garden, hydrangea garden, Japanese bush clover garden, azalea garden, etc. The enormous variety of plants and the spacious site of the Hiroshima Botanical Garden make it one of the prominent botanical gardens in Western Japan. The botanical garden has a leading technique of orchid culture.
